Hospital Wastewater is generated in different sectors of the hospital including patient wards, surgery units, clinical wards, ICU, kitchen, and laundries and possesses quite a variable composition depending on the activities involved.
Hospital wastewater also consists of numerous persistent chemical compounds and complex mixtures of organic matter including pharmaceuticals, radionuclides, detergents, antibiotics, antiseptics, surfactants, solvents, medical drugs, heavy metals, radioactive substances and potential pathogenic and drug-resistant microorganism.
ECOKlien’s unique Hybrid Advanced wastewater treatment system incorporates electrocoagulation (PIXECELL) and electro-oxidation (Electrogen) cells to treat this hospital wastewater in a simple once-through process making it suitable for reuse.
